Medicine through time
Meet three people who each made a contribution to our understanding of medicine: Al-Zawhari, author and surgeon from the Early Islamic World, Florence Nightingale, the Victorian pioneer of nursing and Alexander Flemming, who discovered the first antibiotic. Explore the galleries to discover some unusual medical objects from the past and try and work out the purpose of each object in an object-handling activity.
