Session outline

Discover how Copernicus and Galileo changed our understanding of the universe through an exploration of Geocentric (Earth-centred) and Heliocentric (Sun-centred) models and telescopes in our collection.

Find out more about the movement of the Earth, and other planets, relative to the Sun, and why we have day and night, months and changing seasons.

Children have the opportunity to get hands-on with a range of objects and activities in the galleries, including trying out telescopes.
