Laura leads the Public Engagement and Programmes team at the Museum. She is responsible for exhibitions and events, learning and outreach, audience development, digital content, marketing and communications, and brand and design. Laura is involved in strategic planning for the Museum and works closely with colleagues across the University on joint initiatives.
Laura has worked in a variety of roles in the museum and heritage sector, specialising in audience development, community engagement and consultation, interpretation, learning, evaluation, and strategic development. Laura previously worked at organisations including the National Trust and Norfolk County Council, and worked for over six years as a freelance museums consultant. Prior to joining the museum sector, Laura worked in learning roles for the University of East Anglia, British Science Association and Greater Manchester STEM Centre. She holds a PhD in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester which looked at resilient community engagement practice in museums.
